We are back with another product review for our motherhood and parenting blog segment #DEArtMom of Delux Designs (DE), LLC. If you’re new here, #DEArtMom is the motherhood and parenting blog segment for DE where we highlight all things pertaining to being a mom along with parenting in general. One way we make these highlights is through product reviews where we give our honest feedback & opinions on different products & services with the aim of helping fellow moms & parents. Today’s post is a new product review in continuation from our previous blog post on the Little Tike Inflatable Easel from Target where me and my daughter had a mommy and me painting session previously. For today’s post we are focusing in on the products and items we used during that mommy and my paint time froma. great brand named Bumkins. I was reached out to by this brand a while back to try out some of their items in exchange for an honest review and they did not disappoint on the delivery!
We received one of their Splat Mats, a Smock Apron, a Silicone Grip Dish, and a Wet/Dry Bag from Bumkins. These items came at the most perfect time as we were moving into the warmer months of the year. Me and my toddler often do mommy and me paint sessions where I teach her and she learns about different colors and shapes and how to hold writing utensils as well, sort of like a homeschooling technique outdoors most of the time. We often visit the beach from time to time and explore the sand so these came in handy for those two activities the most, but they can be used indoor as well. Let’s get into our review below.

The first thing I can say about Bumkins is that I love the packaging. You can check out a full unboxing video that I done previously to show their great packaging on my Instagram page here. Receiving any product with great packaging is always a favorite and this one is one of my favorite brand partnership packages received for that one reasoning. Everything was packed perfectly and easy to open and reveal so I want to thank those who packed this shipment for providing extra care and love in my experience of just opening the box. Our Bumkins set came with a Splat Mat, a Smock Apron, a Silicone Grip Dish and Lid, and some Wet/Dry Bags for us to use.

The Splat Mat was perfect for our outdoor setting in an effort to minimize any paint messes for the grass or sand so we could stay environmentally friendly. It gave my toddler a place to sit during our beach visits as well which was perfect. This can also be used as a protective barrier on the floor under high chairs when your baby is learning how to self feed themselves but be careful that it doesn’t slide while under the high chairs. Safety first is a priority when it comes to placing any objects around high chairs for babies.

The Short Sleeved Smock is our favorite. This is like a toddler sized apron and it helped towards keeping messes down on clothing and provided a great way to store paint brushes as we moved from brush to brush during our Mommy and Me painting session outdoors, along with providing a place to put items and toys while we played in the sand at the beach as well. It was a perfect fit for my toddler.

The Wet/Dry Bags were great for transporting those wet paint brushes from outdoor to indoor without a huge mess during our movements. They also came in handy for placing wet clothing in while we went from being on the beach outdoors to indoors and vice versa while on vacation.

Last but not least is the Silicone Grip Dish and Lid. While we did not use this item for our outdoor adventures, I saved this one to use more in an indoor setting for my toddler when she begins school here soon. I did test it out with her and she was able to open and close the lid apart of this set with ease so this will come in handy for lunchboxes during lunchtimes at school.

My kid loves her new Bumkins items a lot.
Since using them the first go around, we now use this set for pretty much every arts and crafts day that we have had moving forward. Overall we give Bumkins a 10 out 10 rating so far. We’ve used their products for a number of different outings from painting sessions in and outdoors, to fun in the sun trips out on the beach in the sand and much more. If you have a baby or a toddler, I would highly recommend checking out their product lines. Ours came directly from Bumkins, but they are also available through affiliate partner Amazon as well.
