Today post is centered around my (@K_DougDE) new gift box from our partner brand SheaMoisture!

SheaMoisture is a brand that I am very familiar with as I’ve done numerous product reviews regarding them before when it comes to haircare and hair products, but this is my first time completing a review centered around one of their skincare products.
For today’s post we will be discussing their brand new Antiperspirant Deodorant line.

I received this gift box directly from SheaMoisture complimentary about a week or so ago so I was very excited to give it a try as soon as I could. I must say the box itself was beautiful. Very well put together and stylish. It gives chic vibes to me. Their packaging is always top tier and that’s what I look for from brands. I think packaging really does matter when you’re a consumer. It gives the feel for the brand and what they represent. The more love and effort that’s put into the packaging lets me know just how serious this brand is about their products overall.

I received three different antiperspirant deodorants to try out. First was the Smoothing, second Moisturizing, and third Fresh. I decided to try out the Fresh one first and automatically I love it. I can admit I was hesitant about trying it out as I am a person who sticks with a certain deodorant due to others not holding up fully throughout each day in the past, but this one did not disappoint at all. The application was smooth and the scent is wonderful. It gives sort of like a perfume type of smell that’s stronger than most antiperspirants but not too strong to where it’s overbearing or hard to stand smell wise. I wore it everyday for about a week to test it out to see if it would hold up fully and it did, so much so that I received multiple compliments on my scent from it while out in public. I didn’t have to wear any other perfumes, it did the job for me by itself each day. So far this one, Fresh, is my favorite scent out of the collection of three. I’ll be trying out the other two once I’m done with this one and come back and update this post on those as well soon.

This is SheaMoisture’s first ever antiperspirant deodorant designed for rich melanin skin—offering sweat and odor protection and all day freshness which I think is highly important. I am a woman of melanin skin and we as a community don’t have many options when it comes to deoderant products made specifically for us. I believe SheaMoisture is breaking a barrier here on a positive note successfully when it comes to bringing products to the table that are inclusive for women of color.
