#DEArtMom – Adjustable Wire Drying Rack Product Review from Wayfair

Today’s topic is stemming from our previous post in regards to my favorite items right now from our newest and latest partner affiliate partner Wayfair. We are centering in on the Adjustable Wire Drying Rack. Let’s take a closer look below.

So I purchased this cool new Adjustable Wire Drying Rack from Wayfair about roughly three months ago for my kitchen after moving into a new home. The reason I made this purchase is because I needed a drying rack for my new home. It is very hard to hand wash dishes and pots and other kitchen utensils without somewhere they can sit and dry unless you are using kitchen towels to dry them immediately but that becomes costly when it comes to washing them weekly as far as having a water bill along with purchasing washing detergent and that sort of thing. I could have just used the dish washer all the time but again that is very costly when it comes to the water and power bill. So hand washing will always be my first go to as it does save time overall for me and my household and it cuts utility costs financially. Plus, in my opinion, hand washing just cleans your dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils better. You can see what needs to be removed and scrub them clean, whereas with a dishwasher I can not tell you how many times I have had to turn around and hand wash my dishes after they have been put through my dishwasher no matter how upgraded and up to date the dishwasher may be. But anyways, lets get into the many benefits of this particular drying rack below.

First benefit is that it is light weight. I am able to easily place the Adjustable Wire Drying Rack into the sink perfectly without any problems or issues with dropping it or it becoming just too heavy for me to maneuver around my kitchen how I need to.
Second benefit is that I am able to place it directly into my sink as you can see in the photo above. The main thing I wanted to get away from when it came to traditional bulky drying racks is that little pan that you often see the traditional racks sitting on. Throughout my life I noticed that the pan the traditional racks sit on often accumulate dirt and grim, and even sometimes mold and bacteria if it is not cleaned properly and regularly, and sometimes when cleaned regularly that grim and build up will still occur. To me that is not sanitary and right now I am big on keeping clean after we have went through that crazy pandemic previously. I do not want bacteria growing on the pan and then moving along to my dishes where we are eating off of them so this open air design for the Adjustable Wire Drying Rack I have now is perfect. The dishes dry in a short amount of time and all of the water goes into the sick and down the drain instead of building up on a surface below it. I can easily clean the sink out once the dishes are dried and put away.
Third benefit for me is that I can easily store the Adjustable Wire Drying Rack away and out of my sink. Again with traditional bulky drying racks I had to just leave it sitting on my countertop and I hated that. When company came over that rack really bothered me as I would want to put it away for other cleaning occasions but it was often too big to fit into a cabinet area. With the Adjustable Wire Drying Rack I can easily clean it in the sink with my spray cleaners and cleaning cloths, and then place it in a cabinet under the sink for future use.
Fourth benefit, which is the last, but not the least is that this Adjustable Wire Drying Rack is very affordable for those who are looking for a cheaper option of obtaining items for their home, specifically the kitchen in this case. Of course this is the most important aspect when it comes to decorating a home and finding items that help towards functionality, so price points here were the icing on the cake for me.
