Day 25: Write your present self a letter. What would you like to tell her?
A25: I participated in a similar activity like this from The Girlfriend Lounge where we had to write a Dear Old Me letter to my past self, so this is great that I get to revisit doing this for present time right now.
Dear Keara,
You are doing fine. Better than most and things could be far worse than what they are so be thankful. Keep going with your goals and dreams. You have every piece to your puzzle now, you just have to figure out how to put it together to benefit yourself and everyone around you from this point forward. Be thankful for your friends and family, again things could be worse and you’re blessed to have the support that you have at this moment. I’m so happy you let that hurt go. You don’t even understand how happy I am for you in moving on with your life in general. You are happier. You are stronger than you were before. Above all, you have dodged some major bullets in your lifetime so be thankful God was and is looking out for your well being, things could be worse. You get your education. If you have to go flat out broke, if you have to sleep in your car and go hungry, you get that education no matter what. Don’t ever allow anyone to tell you that obtaining new knowledge for yourself is a waste of time, or that it is a scam. Obtaining new knowledge could never be something of harm to you, it can only help you in the long run. The more you know, the better off you are, no one can take your knowledge from you. Everything else can be stolen or repossessed, but no one can ever take that knowledge away from you. Keep painting. Your progress as an artist has progressed so much but keep being secretive and cautious about it at the same time. You experienced a ton of hate over the last five years when it comes to your hustle and dedication to your craft, even receiving hate from just doing what you love. Now you have that hate to push you on through. Sometimes we need bad people around to show us what better really looks like at the end of the day, and now that you see it and can feel it, use it all to your advantage. Remember what that wise man once told you, “use what you feel to create your artwork”. Each painting you do gets better with time, so imagine where you will be a year from now if you just keep going and pushing forward. You got this. Your break through is coming very soon!
Love,
KD
