Education Expo was founded in 2013 by @K_DougDE while attending college at the University of South Carolina – Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The intentions in the beginning were to provide college students with an affordable option of purchasing textbooks for class in which our first campaign was online based where we collaborated with Amazon and were able to provide textbook purchases online at half the cost. Since then, our annual non-profit event has grown into an annual back to school supply drive resource where we provide free school supplies to local area students to help them have the tools they need to further their education.

Annually, we host multiple back to school supply drives in a n effort to provide school supplies to local area school students who may be in need. These physical events allow parents to attend with or without their children to obtain school supplies including paper, pens, notebooks, crayons and much more 100% free. Along with obtaining school supplies, families also have the opportunity to check out select vendors who are able to set up at each event, participate in kid friendly activities and games, enjoy a great music selection, and grab a bite to eat from our food vendors on site. For our numerous back to school drives, we are often in need of volunteers to help us with passing out supplies on drive days, entertaining children at each drive with various educational activities for them to take part in, along with helping towards providing more information for parents and school administrators on our non-profit’s background. We thank our previous volunteers for all of their hard work and dedication put into building our non-profit from the ground up!
