#DEBlackHistory – Black Politics

Photography Provided by Giphy

The fourth day of #DEBlackHistory is on the topic of politics. One of the greatest political moments I can remember from my own lifetime is the moment the United States of America witnessed the election of the very first African American president, Barrack Obama. There may be some that may not agree but Barrack Obama was and still is one of the most wonderful men that I have ever witnessed in my lifetime as a public figure. He gave not only this country, but the entire world hope at a time it was desperately needed. Overall it wasn’t even about the color of his skin, it wasn’t about where he came from, nor his job position, but the fact that he has an amazing character and class in which he ran this country with courage and bravery through all the many oppositions he faced while holding office. Born on August 04, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Barrack Obama was elected the first African American Commander in Chief in 2008 and went on to serve two terms as the greatest president the United States has ever had so far.
