DeluxHair – 4 Favorites For Clean Curls

episode 4 hair GIF

Wash Day was mentioned during my Natural Hair Routine back during the year of 2017 but I never touched on what my favorite or preferred shampoos were so that’s what we are going to talk about today for our new post with DeluxHair.

It took me a while to figure out the best shampoo to use for my curls. I got so many suggestions when I first started off and there were so many options to pick from, but I really just had to go with the trial and error method to figure out which ones were best for me and my own hair.

For me, personally, I prefer certain and different shampoos for different reasonings and even for different seasons. Lets check out my list of favorites below:

  1. Taraji P Henson Honey Fresh Clarifying Shampoo with Moisture
  2. Carol’s Daughter Wash Day Delight Water-to-Foam Shampoo with Aloe
  3. Shea Moisture Power Greens Shampoo with Moringa and Avocado
  4. Creme of Nature Moisture and Shine Shampoo with Argan Oil

TPH by Taraji P Henson is a brand new hair care brand that I have recently had the opportunity try out. Like within the last week recently tried and I already love the shampoo. I’ll have a full review on this line soon, but long story short, this shampoo is now my favorite! If you’re one of those people like me who looks for those nice lightweight shampoos that give a slight tingle when you use them, then this is the perfect match for you. It’s made for all hair types and completely clarifies your natural hair curls from roots to ends. I got mine from our affiliate partner Target here. In the winter time I have a huge problem with serbitic dermatitis flare ups really bad. The dry cold air just irritates my scalp and makes it flake very badly, along with an unbearable itch. I have to keep my scalp completely clean and stay on a strict hair care regimen in order to maintain it so I don’t end up scratching my hair out of my scalp.

Carol’s Daughter Wash Day Delight Water-to-Foam Shampoo with Aloe

I have used our affiliate partner Carol’s Daughter before.
If you can remember I posted a product review for the Carol’s Daughter Rhassoul Clay Mask a while back. If you missed it, check it out here. Don’t worry, if you click the link it will open a new browser page so you won’t lose this one. Since my last review, I have dipped and dabbled into trying other products from the brand. One that has jumped to my favorite’s list is the Carol’s Daughter Wash Day Delight Water-To-Foam Shampoo with Aloe. The size of the bottle is the first thing I noticed. It is 16.9 fl oz which should last me for a couple months, great for the price of it. It’s also not in your typical shampoo bottle. This one is in an applicator type of bottle so the shampoo was able to go directly onto my scalp which is perfect for me. I have very thick hair and sometimes have a problem with shampoos not being able to fully reach my scalp. There are no sulfates, no parabens, no silicones and no artificial colors with this option. Very healthy for my curls and my hair was squeaky clean after using it literally. I love it and highly recommend. I purchased mine through Target but you can purchase yours directly from Carol’s Daughter today here.

Shea Moisture Power Greens Shampoo with Moringa and Avocado

If you have been a subscriber or have followed my progress with my natural hair here with DeluxHair, you may remember this particular name from my previous product review on Shea Moisture Power Green with Moringa and Avocado hair care line from an Influenster Voxbox I received back during August of this year. The Shea Moisture Power Greens Shampoo quickly became a favorite of mine in which I have been using it all year up until this month. This is one I prefer to use in the hotter months of the year. For some reason Shea Moisture products dry my scalp out during the colder months but work great when its warmer outside. This option gets my hair super clean but it works best with the enter Power Greens line. I got mine complimentary from Influenster but have purchased more of it from Target here.

Creme of Nature Moisture and Shine Shampoo with Argan Oil

Creme of Nature is a trusted brand that I have been using since I was a kid. Even during my relaxer days, this has always been a go-to brand that has not failed me at all. During the beginning stages of my natural hair journey, Creme of Nature was one that I stuck with primarily due to the price of it. Everyone knows natural hair care products can get quite expensive. One bottle of shampoo may cost you up to $15-$25 USD per bottle, whereas with Creme of Nature their shampoo is only $5 USD. This also another brand that I have done a product review for as well, you can check it out here. The Creme of Nature Moisture and Shine Shampoo with Argan Oil is sulfate free and has argan oil apart of it which is great for my curls. This is that brand that I always keep in my staple product stash even when I’m using another brand at the time, I’m never without Creme of Nature. I typically purchase mine from Target, you can get yours here.

These are the main ones that I prefer to use but I have tried others before and probably will in the future. How your hair reacts to them does not mean that I am a natural hair expert at picking the perfect shampoo for you. It is best to try out brands for yourself to know whether or not something will or won’t work for you. These are just the ones that I prefer and have worked for me the best. I do intend to move more towards the all natural DIY cleansers, oils and stylers soon so be on the lookout for more of those in my posts. 1. Creme of Nature is the goat for me. I always keep it in the stash lol. Carol’s Daughter has been surprisingly good for me as well though. Even though they are a little pricey they work well for me. I love their leave in conditioner the most.

    1. Yes, I believe this one is perfect for the colder temperatures. Has a really tingling feel makes me feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. I’m on week four of using it consistently so far and I love it. Getting ready to try out their hair gel next week so I’ll have a review for it as well.

    1. It’s a really nice addition to their brand. Really helps if you’re having dry hair issues and my hair seemed to be cleaner for a longer period of time after using it. It’s one line that I stuck with consistently this entire year.

  1. Ive been wondering how Tariji’s line of hair care products are. I didnt realize it was a natural hair care product. I will have to check them out.

    1. I believe it’s for all hair types but with a focus of natural hair, I could be wrong however. The bottles that the products are placed in have me thinking it’s more to help natural hair women reach their hair scalp compared to other products that just sit on top of your hair. I’ll have another full review for this line soon, be sure to subscribe at http://www.deluxds.com/subscribe. Thanks for reading!
