Hello everyone! DeluxHair here again for another product review from another one of my favorite hair care lines, Organix! This was one of those products I mentioned in my Perfect Product Haul post where I seen it in Target, loved the packaging design of it and automatically purchased it. It was something about how the line correlated the periodical table into their package design that drew me into them, and it was not a regret. Normally, I won’t just try out a product on a whim like that. Most of the time the products that I try out are already recommended to me by readers online or from family and friends around me, so with this one I really took a big chance with it.
Before & After using Organix via @delux_hair
Check out my before and after images above from using Organix!
The products that I picked up during my product haul are the Bamboo Fiber-Full Thickening Cream, the Teatree Mint Shampoo, the Biotin & Collagen Conditioner, the Coconut Milk and Hibiscus Body Lotion, sample bottle of the Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo and Conditioner, the Brazilian Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner, Vitamin E Shampoo and Conditioner, the Argan Oil of Morocco Intense Moisturizing Treatment, the Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist, along with the O2 Weightless Oil and Lifting Tonic.
I have used this product line on many occasions but it is one I prefer to use during the summertime more than any other season of the year. The weight of it is heavy enough to cover all of my hair, but also light enough so it doesn’t weigh down my hair during the summer time. I have never had a problem with any product build up as well while using. The only thing I have had a problem with before, is a dry scalp in between uses but the O2 Weightless Oil and Lifting Tonic spray helped out with that a lot. I loved it the most out of all of the products because it helped towards moisturizing and relieving my itchy scalp, but it was not oily to the point where oil was running down my face or anything like that during the summer heat and humidity down here in the South.
Style #1: Flat Twists + Bantu Knots
Shown above, is my first style of choice during my first go around with Organix. I decided to go with a flat twist out with bantu knots on my ends to create this curly asymmetrical fro look. I used the Brazilian Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner, along with the Bamboo Fiber-Full Thickening Cream, and the Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist spray. Shown below is my hair after a week. I maintained the style by re-twisting it that Monday-Wednesday of the particular week, and sleeping with a satin bonnet on. Then for the remaining days, Thursday and Friday, I opted for just bantu knots all over which led to the curly fro style shown below. The thickening cream and coconut oil mist made it very easy to maintain the style during the week, and also kept minimum products from being used in my hair which allowed my style to last longer than normal.
Style #2: Mini Twist Out Hump
My second go around with the hair care line, I used the Vitamin E Shampoo and Conditioner, along with the Argan Oil of Morocco Intense Moisturizing Treatment, and the O2 Weightless Oil and and Lifting Tonic for a mini twist out hump style. This style started off as mini twists for the beginning part of this particular week. It was great as a protective style during the first half of the work week, very low maintenance and manipulation. Once I reached Wednesday, I took them out and pinned the front portion of my hair back from my face using bobby pins to create this look.
I will be doing another blog post about this line very soon as I try out more from the other the collections Organix has available. This is one that I highly recommend for any naturals who have a 4C hair curl pattern. It works great, doesn’t weigh your hair down, reasonably priced, and there are a variety of products to choose from including body care products as well. Thanks for reading everyone, happy blogging!
