Well, well, well! #The100DayProject for 2017 is now complete! This was the hardest art challenge I have taken part in so far. Created by Lindsay Jean Thomson and Elle Luna from San Francisco, California, this international project was created to increase artist productivity and creativity on a daily basis. Internationally known, this project has participants from all over the world from the United States, all the way to Africa!

Now we are on to the next level of the project where we will be meeting up and connecting with one another! This is an exciting time for us at Delux Designs (DE), LLC as we were chosen to be the official host for the Charlotte edition of #The100DayProject Meetup for 2017! We will be located at Freedom Park in Charlotte, North Carolina Saturday morning of August 19, 2017 from 10am until 12pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). The main point of this meetup is to connect with fellow artists in the area who took part in the international art challenge this year, or even from years ago in the past to check out each other’s artwork, but all artists who are interested in this worldwide project are welcome of course. If you did not take part in the challenge this year and just want to see what the hype is about, or how you can join in the upcoming new year, feel free to join us. This is a very laid back, outdoors event that is free for attendees but we don’t welcome any donations given to go towards more art supplies in order to continue this project in the following year. Bring your art pieces you have completed if you are done with the project itself for the year, or even art materials to create more artwork pieces for your project collection if you are not done yet. You don’t have to be done, all artists are welcome whether you are on Day 9, or Day 99 of #The100DayProject. Be sure to bring a towel to sit on as well, we are going to try and find the most shaded spot to chill at and mingle for the morning, but if we can’t feel free to bring a big umbrella to protect yourself from the sun as well. Other arrangements will be made in the event of inclement weather and will be announced on our event page and Eventbrite ahead of time if needed.
Directions For Parking
Please park in the main parking area. Once you have come into the main park gates where the Freedom Park sign is from the main road, keep straight passing the basketball court on the right, then make a left turn at the stop sign. Keep straight (but watch for children!) over the speed bumps, passing the volleyball fields and the train model on display which will be on your right hand side. You are going to park in the lot straight ahead, right beside the playground. Parking is free at all times in this lot, but please be sure to lock your doors and put up any valuables that may be able to be seen in your vehicles. We are not liable for any mishaps or vandalism in the event of an emergency. As always, we want to make sure you are safe while attending an event with DE. We picked this particular park because the parking area and park as a whole are fairly safe and security is constantly patrolling the area hourly, but you can never be too safe anywhere you may be visiting so please be sure to take the necessary precautionary measures needed to keep you and your valuables safe as you would for any event or visitation in the Charlotte Metro area.
How To Find Us
We will be located in the main walking area of the park. Once you’ve parked, follow the main walking trail over the bridge and to slightly to the left. Pass the main seating areas on the hill on your right hand side. Keep straight until you come to the first walking trail intersection and turn to the right. You’re going to pass the park amphitheater on the left, in which we will be located in the seating area on the right side. This is the grass area right in front of the amphitheater.
I can’t wait to meet you all at The 100 Day Project Charlotte Meetup and see all the artwork you all have created over the last 100 days! Share the upcoming event with your friends and other fellow artists you may know by clicking here!
