The nineteenth day of #The100DayProject from Delux Designs (DE) consists of a new acrylic painting from our Music Listening series! Check out what artwork is now available with our new collection for day 19 of this year’s art challenge below:
Douglas, Keara. Love Frames. 2018 August.
Our newest addition to our the DE Music Listening Painting series is titled, Love Frames. This newest art piece is based on the listening of music artists Beyonce and Jay-Z’s newest album collab Everything is Love.
Created on an 11×14 wrapped canvas, Love Frames depicts listening to each song on the album from start to finish. With each song listened to, a new layer was created for a complete painting. Materials used include many from our previous Fall Art Haul: Anita’s Acrylic Paint from Hobby Lobby, a wrapped canvas from Cheap Joe’s Art Supply of Charlotte, NC, and some all purpose glitter from Michaels Arts and Crafts.
The title of the painting comes from the fact that these two music artists are completely in love with one another and it shows through their newest music, hence “love”. The word “frames” comes from the actual music video for their hit new single Ape Shit in which it was shoot in an art gallery. When I think of art galleries, I see paintings automatically but for some reason I pictured art frames here. Only two frames were used to represent the couple, and they are painted interlocking with one another to show the couple’s bond to one another.

This is such a cool project! Interesting way to interpret music and incorporate it in your art
Thank you!
I really love the contrast of the dark boxes against the more colorful background. And the mix and yellow and red really stand out to me.
Great painting! x
