The twenty third day of #The100DayProject from Delux Designs (DE) consists of a new new #DEMusicBlock courtesy of our affiliate partner Storenvy! Check out what music artist has been added to our growing collection illustrations for day 23 of this year’s art challenge below:

For our newest illustration added to our #DEMusicBlock collection I went with a 8×8 inch sized block this time for music artist Toni Braxton. For this one, I wanted to go with a more realistic color palette, along with a style I’ve tried before in previous music blocks like my Bankroll Fresh and Lil Uzi Vert illustrations. I stuck with my traditional Reeves Watercolor Gouache paint from Micheal’s Arts and Crafts for the background and went with Anita’s Acrylic paint from Hobby Lobby for the main focal point. For the music artist portrait, I used realistic colors for the skin tone and went over it with different shades, shadows and highlights with prisma colored pencils.
