Women’s Empowerment of South Carolina 2017

Since today is #WCW (aka Women Crush Wednesday) , I decided to highlight the 2017 Women’s Empowerment Conference of South Carolina that I was fortunate enough to attend this year in Columbia, South Carolina. Hosted by The Big DM and The City of Columbia, this annual event was put together to empower, entertain, and uplift women with interactive seminars, vendor showcases for business owners, an inspirational message, along with a variety of live performances each year. This year’s event took place at the Columbia Convention Center in Columbia, South Carolina Saturday September 10, 2017.

There were many vendors available to showcase many different products and services. I was even able to check out some local artwork while attending from Jocelyn Terrez! Check out her artwork featured below:

Check out some of the goodies I was able to obtain and win through a variety of different contests during the day long conference including merchandise from Blue Cross Blue Shield, autographed art prints from more local artists, Nairobi hair care line, hit Fox television series Empire, Nationwide, Sheen Magazine, Black Pages, Health Connections, and The Big DM radio station!

Even though, I loved each and every vendor experience while at the event, the main part I loved the most were the live performances and Keynote speakers. Featured this year were gospel musician John P. Kee, music group Force MDs, Calvin Richardson, Leela James, Mali Music, and writer of the famous and hit movie Girl’s Trip Tracy Oliver! Check out video recaps below of a couple of the performances from last month!
