#DEArtMom – How Baby Showers have Changed during Covid-19

Around the world, so many things have changed due to the Coronavirus, or COVID-19, since it first began hitting hard here in the United States back during November of 2019. From the way we shop, eat and, even how we go to work. For a new mom to be during this first wave of the virus, I was always personally on edge and worried. My worry level took a turn for the worse when my baby shower was completely cancelled during the first shut down of a majority of businesses and a ban on group activities was put into place. This hurt me completely because this would have been my very first baby shower.

But not all was a lose. After I finished crying my eyes out after receiving the phone call that the event had to be cancelled and I wouldn’t be able to shower my first born child with love and joy amongst family and friends, I began to research other alternatives for a shower to do remotely from home.
