Dig Deep with an Artist Called Paris

Dig Deep | Acrylic on Canvas | 36 x 48

Delux Designs (DE), LLC recently sat down and spoke with Boston, MA artist Samantha Estes for our latest #DEArTalk session for July 2020.
Check out our interview below:

  • What’s your name?
    Samantha Paris Estes
  • Where are you from?
I’m from Syracuse N.Y. and now live in Boston, MA, USA.
  • What is your art style?
    Abstract art and mixed media
  • When did you begin your art journey?
I really have been involved in art since I was a kid. I went to every art class I could, in addition to what I had available in public schools. I’m now an art director, and graphic designer, and have been refining my skills in abstract art for the past twenty-plus years. I find that being both a designer, and a fine artist, gives me a unique perspective on the corporate and artistic work. Blending these two artistic talents extends the range of the capabilities and challenges the boundaries of my art.
  • Why did you decide to go the art route?
I love art and felt it was something I naturally did.
  • Did you attend college or an art school?
I have studied at The Metropolitan School of the Arts in Syracuse, N.Y. and have a BS in Fine Arts and Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
  • What motivates you to create?
I need to. It’s a big part of who I am. I get down if I’m not creating.
  • What are your art goals?
I would like to have my artwork in business such as offices, lobbies, hotels, restaurants, bars and people’s homes.
  • Any upcoming events?
Unfortunately, everything has been canceled with COVID. I am going to be working with an art agent this year. I also have some custom-made pieces I’m doing this year.
