Today’s post is centered around one of our newest affiliate partners Liquitex and their Matte Finish Liquid Medium.
Liquitex Matte Medium
We often use a number of different mediums when creating our paintings on a regular basis. We offer a majority of our paintings as acrylic paintings but often dip and dab into Watercolor and Oil Paint from time to time as well. With creating acrylic paintings we often use mediums as a way to give our paintings a different texture, to prime canvases in preparations for new paintings, and to varnish paintings once they are completed as a finishing touch.

The Matte Medium Fluid is a great way for us to prime our canvases to begin artwork. Priming canvases means you’re applying an even coat of medium to help provide a more gentle and smooth application of the paint. This medium can also be used to mix colors easier and as a way to varnish each painting as like a top coat safety layer to prevent any scratches and other mishaps when it comes to touching each artwork.
The Liquitex Matte Medium can be found is a variety of different stores and online but we often get ours directly from source the Liquitex website here.
