Education Expo was founded in 2014 by @K_DougDE while attending college at the University of South Carolina – Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The intentions in the beginning were to provide college students with an affordable option of purchasing textbooks for class in which the first campaign was online based where we collaborated with Amazon and were able to provide textbook purchases online at half the cost. Since then, the non-profit has grown into an annual back to school supply drive resource where we provide free school supplies to local area students to help them have the tools they need to further their education.

Annually, we host multiple back to school supply drives in a n effort to provide school supplies to local area school students who may be in need. These physical events allow parents to attend with or without their children to obtain school supplies including paper, pens, notebooks, crayons and much more 100% free. Along with obtaining school supplies, families also have the opportunity to check out select vendors who are able to set up at each event, participate in kid friendly activities and games, enjoy a great music selection, and grab a bite to eat from our food vendors on site. Due to Covid-19, we are not hosting any physical in-person back to school drives at this time until further notice.
For our numerous back to school drives, we are often in need of volunteers to help us with passing out supplies on drive days, entertaining children at each drive with various educational activities for them to take part in, along with helping towards providing more information for parents and school administrators on our non-profit’s background. More information will be released soon on volunteer opportunities coming up for this summer! We thank our previous volunteers for all of their hard work and dedication put into building our non-profit from the ground up!

Each school year, we promote numerous back to school supply drive locations throughout our social media channels, along with word of mouth to ensure as many students and parents are able to get the school supplies needed for the upcoming school years. With our directory, we would be able to help those students and parents find you in their area as guide pertaining to each state you will be located.
Along with spreading about your event on our behalf, we also issue picture booklets featuring pictures from each supply drive as a gift to you for being a helping hand to those in need annually, and for you small donation of $19.99/year. All proceeds from directory subscription go towards back to school supplies for upcoming school supply drives.
